Tucked away in the Wellness Center of Light Mall is a gem I was able to visit recently. Vibe prides itself for being The Wellness Curator–a space that brings various fitness and wellness offerings to its clients.
We got to try the AeroBox class first during our visit. Vibe had two studio spaces and this one, I assumed, is for classes that are more dance-y such as AeroBox. Check out the DJ’s booth looking all set for a dance party.
Warmed up with Coach Francis during AeroBox. The studio could accommodate about 15-18 students comfortably.
We moved on to the other studio. A bright, airy space with glass walls and lots of natural light coming in. I LOVED IT.
Head Coach, Coach Anthony Macaraeg, led us through one of Vibe’s signature workouts called Vibe Energize. It was basically a quick, circuit-type workout that made use of free weights, resistance bands and body weight.
Coach Anthony did a great job in putting together a workout for us and making sure we performed each exercise with proper form. Shirley and I were at different fitness levels and he modified our workouts accordingly.
Vibe Energize is a High Intensity Resistance Training (HIRT) program which targets different muscle groups but only takes up a max of 30 minutes to finish. Each workout is timed and we were given a couple of minutes to rest in between sets.
What’s good about Vibe Energize is that many of the exercises are ones you can do at home. Vibe encourages its clients to work on these exercises even when they can’t make their way to the studio at times. There really is no excuse when all you need is a bit of space to move in and one or two free weights.
The Oxygen Bar, I would say, is a post-workout treat. Each variant is infused with a specific scent and to either relax, energize, suppress your appetite, calm you down, etc.
We went on an Oxygen Bar spree and tried nearly all of them. LOL These diffuse 90% Oxygen to replenish your body and plus a bit of mild scents through what I would guess are essential oils.
Other services (which we didn’t have time to try) were Facials and Massages which were available to members who avail packages. They had around 4 treatment rooms that can accommodate two clients each at once.
There’s also a nail lounge at the other end of the studio that offers more pampering services to its members after their workouts.
