I LOVE FOOD. I mean, who doesn’t? People often ask how I manage to eat so much and not get fat. Let me tell you two things, I don’t spend the whole day working out and I wasn’t born this way. I struggled through my own weight for a long time in the past. It’s never just about exercise. Most of it, and I know you’ve heard this many times before, depends on how you eat.
On instances when we do dig deeper into the topic, I tell them that eating a good amount of food is essential to the body especially when you exercise. I mentioned here, that food fuels the body so deliberately skipping meals because you are “on a diet” actually puts your body in starvation mode making it store more fat. It’s just a matter of making the right choices of food.
The number 1 weight loss (and by weight here, I mean fat) tip I can ever give anyone is to FILL YOUR PLATE WITH THE RIGHT THINGS—and when I say FILL, really fill it up. The things you can never go wrong with are vegetables. If you like to count calories, take a look at the photos from our friends over at Wisegeek.com. I took the liberty to put them side by side for comparison.
THE AMOUNT OF FOOD ON EACH PLATE IS EQUIVALENT TO 200 CALORIES.
See how the plates are filled with so much fruit and veggies but are all just 200 calories? Vegetables have such low calorie content that you actually need to eat more of them to meet your calorie needs. At the same time you consume more of the nutrients your body needs to keep going.
Don’t let the number of calories scare you, though. My mom loves avocados and I remember when I was younger, she would limit her intake because she knew these had higher calorie content compared to other fruits.
BUT avocados contain good fat, more potassium than bananas, lots of fiber and tons of anti-oxidants. I could go on raving about the good it does to the body and how good it tastes. My point here is that there is no harm in taking in more calories as long as you know what’s in it.

Hi Janessa!
A lot of times blogging websites offer templates that are ready to use. You have the option to tweak them or customize them based on your preference. Hope that helps!
