Okay. Let me start off by saying I HAVE A SWEET TOOTH–and a huge one at that. If there’s anything I’m struggling with in my food intake, it’s the constant craving for something sweet, especially chocolates. I can’t help it. I’m a dessert girl.
If you’re just like me, then you must be wondering why it’s so hard to resist desserts. I admittedly turn into a geek whenever I find myself asking questions about my body and how it behaves. Here are a couple of geeky BUT cute videos to shed a little light on this topic:
CONCLUSION: SUGAR IS ADDICTIVE
Now, we all know sugar is a huge barrier not just to fat loss but to being healthy in general. You’ve heard of sugar consumption leading to spikes in insulin and then crashing, the zapping of energy, obesity and diabetes, right?
These are a few reasons why most, if not many, of us have already replaced regular table sugar with “healthier” substitutes. The braver ones try to eliminate sugar completely from their diet. But is that really possible? Sugar is in nearly everything we consume these days, even in fruit. But that’s no reason to give fruits a bad rap too.
There are a lot of arguments going on about sugar and its presence in what we eat. And I always say one rule doesn’t work for every one, the same way one dress size doesn’t fit every girl. Two words do apply though: AWARENESS and MODERATION.
What do you do to keep sugar from sabotaging your fitness/health goals?
